How to create a client task request list
Client tasks are designed to request information that is related to a project (work item) in Financial Cents. That being said, client tasks are set up inside the actual project the request is related to.
For example, if you need to request bank statements for Monthly Bookkeeping work, then you would have to set up the client task request list on the actual Monthly Bookkeeping project in Financial Cents.
How to create a client task request list
Click into the project
Click the + New Section
Click Client Tasks
Click Add client task
Select the type of request you want to send the client
How to send a client task request list
Once the client task request list is set up, you can activate the client notifications. You will have the ability to send your client email and SMS notifications.
Click Send or Schedule
Select one of the three notification options:
Schedule the notification to send on a specific date
Send the notification immediately with Send Now
Use Dependency to automatically trigger it to send to a client when a certain task section in the project is completed
Pro Tip: If you schedule the client task notification for a specific date and the project recurs, it will automatically send the request for future recurrences of the project for that same date, so you never have to manually activate the reminders again in the future.
How to send automated reminders to the client
Have Financial Cents automatically follow up with the client until they complete the client tasks you sent them.
Click Auto-reminders
Select how often you want to remind the client
Customize email notifications
Customize the body and text of the email notification sent to your client. You can learn more about this feature here.
