Our vision is to create a single portal for your clients. One place for them to easily access requests, documents, reports, invoices, resources, and communication. Ultimately, creating a simple and modern client experience that will WOW your clients and take your firm to the next level.

There are five modules in the Client Portal:

  • Client Tasks & Requests - To automate client data collection & get responses faster

  • Billing - To seamless collect payments from clients

  • Client Chat - To quickly ask your client questions about work

  • Folder Sharing - To securely store and share documents with clients

  • ReCats - To easily ask clients about uncategorized transactions

Client Tasks & Requests

Client tasks are designed to automate client data collection to save 10+ hours every week and get client responses faster so your team can get their work done.

  • Request documents, e-signatures, send documents or ask questions.

  • Schedule automatic email and SMS reminders to chase down the client for you.

  • The ability for clients to upload documents to the work through our secure portal.

  • The ability for clients to communicate with your team and ask questions.

Billing

Billing lets you seamlessly invoice your clients and get paid. Clients can:

  • View and pay outstanding invoices

  • View past paid invoices

  • Manage their payment methods

Client Chat

Client chat lets your team quickly ask your client questions about work and keeps all client conversations in one place.

  • Organize client conversations into topics

  • Easily Search across all client conversations

  • Specify which team members & client contacts have access to the topics

Folder Sharing

The Folder-sharing feature allows your firm to share important folders and documents with clients so they can access important documents as needed.

  • Instantly access shared folders with archived documents and reports. For example, bookkeeping documents, tax documents, entity documents, etc.

  • Upload documents unrelated to projects or requests to the shared folders (if given permission).

ReCats

Streamline and automate your firm's process for managing client uncategorized transactions to save hours every week. No longer download transactions into a spreadsheet and chase down your client for a response.

  • Automatically pull uncategorized transactions from QuickBooks Online.

  • Ask your client questions and for notes and documents about transactions.

  • Automatically remind and chase your client about the uncategorized transactions.

  • Easily categorize the uncategorized transactions in Financial Cents.

  • Push the updated transaction, notes, and documents to QuickBooks Online.

The Client Experience

The client portal was designed to be simple and easy to use. This results in very high client adoption and satisfaction.

We do this with a modern and simple design and our magic link technology that allows clients to securely access the portal without creating a username or password.

This allows clients to access the secure portal with a single click without ever creating an account and having to remember a password.

Create a Firm Branded Portal

With a Firm Branded portal, you can white-label the portal with your firm's brand. This includes:

  • Customizing the client portal URL

  • Customizing the color of the buttons and links

  • Displaying your firm's logo

How to introduce the portal to your clients

Notifying your clients

If you plan to notify your clients about the new Financial Cents client portal, you can use our email template. It includes:

  • Why the portal will make it easier to work with you

  • A tutorial video on how the portal works

  • And the next steps for them to ensure success

Add the portal to your site and email signature

You will want to add the client portal to your website and email signature so clients can access the portal on demand (without the email notifications).

The clients will be able to securely access the portal without creating an account or using a password from this page - https://app.financial-cents.com/client-portal/

You can:

  • Add the link on your website as a "Client Portal" button

  • Add the link to your email signature for clients to access the portal
