How to Add Task Dependencies

Use task dependencies to automatically notify team members when it's time to begin their task

Sometimes a task cannot be started until the previous task is complete. Task dependencies are designed to prevent team members from starting work until the previous task is done.

If you click on a task, you will see the ability to set up a dependency. You will want to make it dependent on the previous task.

You can assign dynamic due dates to tasks with dependencies by referring to the clock icon to the left of "Edit Dependency" and setting the number of days until it will be due. For example, if you enter "5" days that means the next task will be due 5 days after the dependent job "Pay bills - www.bill.com" is completed.

When customizing the due date settings, your window will look like this:
