When clients send you files, you should not have to hunt for them folder by folder. The Client Uploads report gives you a chronological list of every document your clients have uploaded, across all clients, in one view. Files appear here whether the client uploaded them to Client Files or attached them to a client task on a project.
Open the Client Uploads report
Navigate to Clients > Client Uploads.
The Client Uploads Report opens on the Client Uploads tab, listing files uploaded to your clients' folders, with the most recent uploads first.
Switch to the Client Task Uploads tab to see files clients attached to client tasks on your projects.
The header and footer of the report stay locked in place as you scroll, so your search, filters, and export actions are always within reach. This applies to both tabs.
Jump to the file or the client
Each row gives you 2 quick paths:
Click the client name to open that client's profile.
On the Client Uploads tab, click Open Folder to go straight to the file's location in the client's folder.
On the Client Task Uploads tab, click the Open project icon to open the project containing the client task.
Filter uploads by document tag
Document tags show the action state of every file. Financial Cents creates seven default tags for every firm (Missing Info, Needs Review, Duplicate, Unreadable, Downloaded, Processed, and New), and you can add custom tags on top of those. Financial Cents automatically applies the New tag whenever a client uploads a file, which makes the tag filter the fastest way to triage incoming documents across all your clients.
Open the tag filter in the report header.
Select 1 or more tags, for example New.
The report narrows to files carrying those tags, so you can work through new uploads without checking each client individually.
š”Pro Tip! Build a daily habit around this filter: open the report, filter by New, and process every file by downloading it, retagging it, or flagging it for review. Tags sync across every view of the file, so your whole team sees the same state everywhere.
Control who can see client uploads
Access to client folders follows your existing permission settings. If a team member cannot see a file in the report, check their folder access. See How can I manage access to the Client Uploads folder in Financial Cents for details.
