Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides another level of security on your login. By enabling 2FA, you'll be prompted to enter in a verification code when logging into Financial Cents.

Enabling 2FA on Your Login

Each user has the ability to enable or disable 2FA on their account. To access your 2FA settings, please do the following:

  1. Click Settings > Profile in the left navigation bar

  2. To turn on 2FA, click Enable 2FA

  3. Enter in the phone number without spaces or dashes that you'd like to use for 2FA

  4. Click Next: Verify Number. A verification code will be sent to the number you entered

  5. Enter in your code and click Activate 2FA to finish enabling 2FA on your account

Enforcing 2FA for All Team Members

❗Please note: Not all plans have the ability to enforce 2FA for all team members. Please reach out to our support team for assistance.

Some plans have the ability to enforce 2FA for all team members. To turn on this feature, please do the following:

  1. Have an Owner login to Financial Cents

  2. Navigate to Settings > Company

  3. Scroll down to Security Settings and click the box to enable "Require all team members to enable 2FA"

  4. Click Save Security Settings

The next time a team member logs in, they'll be prompted to enter a verification code before being allowed to proceed. Note that when this feature is enabled, team members will no longer have the option to disable 2FA from their user settings.
