Overview

With Workflow Template Settings, you can streamline work creation by presetting the due date, recurrence, start date, and assignees for templates.

When creating projects from the template, it will automatically apply the preset due date, recurrence, start date, and assignees. Making it easier for your team to create client work and reduces human error.

More importantly, this will soon allow you to automate work creation. Soon you will be able to create work automatically when:

  • A client signs a proposal in Ignition, Anchor, Goprosal, or other proposal platforms

  • When a client is added to Financial Cents

  • When a certain task is completed in another project

  • And so much more!

Where to find default template settings

You can find the default settings in two places.

On the workflow templates page

And within a template

How it works

Below you will learn about the different things you can preset on your workflow templates.

Due Date Setting

In the 1st step, you can set the due date for projects created from the template. Below are the options

X days after the project is created

For a specific month and date of the year

For a specific date after the project is created

Recurring Setting

In the 2nd step, you can set the recurrence for projects created from the template. If you want to learn more about how projects recur in Financial Cents you can do so here.

Start Date Setting

In the 3rd step, you can set the start date for projects created from the template.

This has the same three options as the due date setting but an additional option of X days before the due date is avaibile.

  • For example, if you said to assign a start date that is 7 days before the due date, and the project had a due date of Feb 10th, then it would automatically assign a start date of February 3rd.

Roles Setting

In the 4th step, you can select which assignee will be assigned to which role placeholders in the template.
