The Ignition–Financial Cents integration automates the handover from proposal to project. It syncs client records, triggers the right workflow templates when proposals are accepted, and assigns work to the right team member. By connecting the two, you can reduce manual setup, save time during onboarding, and ensure every project kicks off correctly.

⚠️ Please note: The integration is available on the Financial Cents Scale plan, and Ignition Pro and Pro+ plans. If you’re on a Core or legacy plan, you’ll need to contact the Ignition team.

Connect Financial Cents

  1. Navigate to the Apps tab → click the Financial Cents tile

  2. Once connected, you’ll see Sync settings and Workflow settings.

Under Sync settings, you'll have the option to sync the Client Name or nothing. We suggest ensuring this is set to Client Name.

Click Confirm when you are done.

(Note: This is a one way sync from Financial Cents to Ignition)

Under Workflow settings, you'll see an option to enable workflow automation, which allows you to deploy projects in Financial Cents from Ignition.

We suggest you enable this toggle all the time as you'll always have the option to choose not to deploy any work items whenever you like.

You can also select a default assignee for projects that are deployed from Igniton.

Click Save when you are done.

  3. Once you have checked your Sync and Workflow settings, click Enable app to turn the Financial Cents integration on.

Mapping Ignition services to Financial Cents projects

You can map Financial Cents projects to your Ignition services by navigating to a specific service in Ignition → Apps tab → Link Financial Cents project.

This will help save you time during the Automation step of the proposal editor when you are creating a proposal.

💡 Pro Tip: Mapping your services now means you won’t need to search for templates when building proposals. Projects will pre‑populate automatically in the proposal editor.

Import and map clients

You can import your clients into Ignition directly from Financial Cents in the Clients tab → Import → Financial Cents.

To change or edit a client’s Financial Cents mapping, navigate to a specific client record → Edit → Apps tab → Financial Cents mapping.

Create Financial Cents projects from proposals

Once you've enabled the Financial Cents integration, you’ll see a step called Automations within the proposal editor. This is where you can create projects in Financial Cents which are based on the services inside of the proposal.

The projects populated here are linked to the services that are added in the Services step.

You'll need to ensure that person is assigned to each project that is created. Ignition will be unable to deploy a project without an assigned person.

If you do not want a project to be deployed, simply select Don't create project in the Financial Cents work item dropdown menu.

If you want to deploy more Financial Cents projects that aren't listed in the Automations step, click Add other work and select the specific work items and assignees required.

Creating a new client in the proposal editor

If you are creating a project from an Ignition proposal, the Ignition client must be mapped to a client in Financial Cents. This can be done by either linking an Ignition client to an existing Financial Cents client, or creating the Ignition client as a New client in Financial Cents.

To create a new client, create client button will create them in Financial Cents once the proposal is accepted.

If a client is already created in Financial Cents, you can link them by clicking the Existing client option and searching for their client name in Financial Cents. Once the client is located, select it and click the Link Client button.
